Key Stage 3

Students of Key Stage 3 will be challenged in the first three years to become responsible and motivated to do the best they can and to achieve in all aspects of their learning. Students are so fortunate to be receiving lessons by dedicated and highly qualified staff, in Art and Design, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Drama, English, Global perspectives, Geography, History, Information Technology, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education,  and Foreign languages.

In the third year students will begin their IGCSE courses in three separate Sciences to enable them to continue with Triple Science over the following two years. Critical thinking and careers education and guidance are an important part of the curriculum therefore we encourage students form the first year, to have a weekly introduction to philosophy. Careers education will be provided through a series of workshops.  In the second year, students will continue to receive lessons in critical thinking, careers and current affairs as part of a weekly enriched programme. In the third year students will have the opportunity to apply their creative and critical thinking skills across the curriculum. Project Based learning is at the heart of the termly assessment and we encourage our students to do their own research in topics of interests.
